On Wednesday, June 2, The Schulich School of Music and McGill’s Faculty of Medicine will welcome renowned Canadian pianist Alan Fraser (M.Mus ‘87) for a very special evening concert. Fraser will give a recital to honour his father Dr. F. Clarke Fraser, Canada’s first medical geneticist, emeritus professor of Genetics at McGill and 2010 recipient of a McGill Honorary Doctor of Science degree. Fraser, along with soprano Ruth Phillips (D.Mus ‘09), will play works by Chopin, Brahms, Mozart, Alexander Ary (McGill ’76) and himself. This concert will be held in Pollack Hall in the Strathcona Music Building, 555 Sherbrooke St. W. at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and all are welcome.
