Howard Melamed, CEO and President of the multinational telecommunications service company CellAntenna Corporation, author of The Science of Opportunity and a McGill engineering alumnus (Eng’80) will be giving a talk on Sept. 10 entitled “The Science of Opportunity: Making Career Decisions That Work.“ The talk will be addressed to all McGill students in their final year and will address some of the questions they have regarding choosing a career and what to do next.
“I think that the main issue for students is the same as it was when I was a student – ‘what on earth am I going to do after I graduate?’” says Melamed. “The pressures of life, including searching for a job and making the right decisions, are enough to worry any anyone. No matter how good anyone may be in school, schooling by itself cannot guarantee you success.”
