Made in 1999, L’Erreur boréale is a hard-hitting documentary that explores the destruction of the Boreal forest, and our collective responsibility for this unique environment. The film cuts through the official discourse, and dispels the silence and ignorance surrounding this precious resource that we have been led to believe is still intact. Citing the concerns of professional foresters, the film is a direct attack on the depredation of what should be a sustainable resource and asks the ultimate question: Are our forests in good hands?

L’Erreur boréale (French with English subtitles); July 19, 3 p.m. Redpath Museum auditorium; 859 Sherbrooke St. West. Admission is free with a contribution to the Museum.
