Service Point – with the help from the McGill Bookstore – celebrated an important milestone on Dec. 17, when first-year Masters of Arts (Geography) student and recent McGill BSc graduate Gabriella Fanous became the 250,000th McGill student served in-person since Service Point doors opened on June 17, 2010.

Conceived in 2008 with the goal of helping to reduce student run-around on campus, Service Point integrated frontline service offices from six different departments and four different buildings. Constantly evolving to help meet the needs of prospective students, applicants, current students, alumni and the general public, Service Point can be a busy place: over 180,000 people are served annually by telephone, social media, email and in person. Staffed by professionals and work-study students, the friendly team works tirelessly to serve the community throughout the academic and calendar year.

Executive Director Enrolment Services & University Registrar Kathleen Massey and Service Point Director Romesh Vadivel are thrilled to recognize all of the students who have been served over the course of the last five years, and Gabriella in particular.
