During its meeting of February 14, 2019, the McGill Board of Governors approved the promotion of the following five associate professors to the rank of full professor:
- Rula Abisaab (Institute of Islamic Studies, Arts)
- Payam Akhavan (Law)
- Frédéric Mégret (Law)
- Mohamed Meguid (Engineering)
- Colin Rogers (Engineering)

The appointments are effective March 1, 2019.
