Professor Christopher Manfredi has been named Interim Principal of McGill. Manfredi, who currently serves as the Provost and Vice-Principal (Academic), will take office on September 6. He will replace Suzanne Fortier, whose second term as Principal is coming to an end.

The announcement was made earlier today by Maryse Bertrand, Chair of McGill’s Board of Governors.

“Professor Manfredi… has a deep understanding of our University – as a teacher, a researcher, an administrator, and a leader – and has shown excellence in his own scholarship and pedagogy,” said Bertrand. “The Board thanks Professor Manfredi for agreeing to serve the University in this period of transition.”
