McGill’s outgoing Vice-Principal (Administration and Finance) will become the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Aéroports de Montréal (ADM).
In May, Yves Beauchamp announced the end of his nearly seven-year tenure at the University, effective at the end of the summer.
“Vice-Principal Beauchamp advanced numerous complex, priority initiatives, such as the creation of McGill’s Master Plan, the revitalization and renewal of numerous McGill spaces, and the New Vic and the Fiat Lux Library projects,” said Deep Saini, Principal and Vice-Chancellor.
“He has left a lasting, positive impact on our University as it enters its third century, and we wish him continued success in his new appointment.”
In addition to the physical transformations he oversaw, Vice-Principal Beauchamp was instrumental in improving the University’s financial and technological infrastructure – experience that will likely serve the ADM as he assumes its leadership.
Beauchamp was also a driving force in advancing McGill’s sustainability efforts, championing the University’s Climate and Sustainability Strategy.

Yves Beauchamp, vice-principal (Administration et finances) sortant de l’Université McGill, vient d’être nommé président-directeur général d’Aéroports de Montréal (ADM). En mai dernier, le Pr Beauchamp annonçait qu’il quittait ses fonctions à la fin de l’été, après un mandat de près de sept ans à l’Université.
« À titre de vice-principal, Yves Beauchamp a fait progresser de nombreux dossiers complexes et prioritaires, notamment l’élaboration du Plan directeur du campus, la revitalisation et la modernisation de nombreux lieux mcgillois, sans parler des projets Nouveau Vic et Fiat Lux », a souligné Deep Saini, principal et vice-chancelier.
« Il lègue à notre université, qui entame son troisième siècle d’existence, un héritage précieux et durable. Nous lui souhaitons tout le succès possible dans ses nouvelles fonctions. »
En plus de diriger plusieurs transformations physiques, Yves Beauchamp a joué un rôle prépondérant dans l’amélioration de l’infrastructure financière et technologique de l’Université, expérience qui lui sera probablement d’une grande utilité à la direction d’ADM.
