Summer Science Doc: Who Killed the Electric Car?

The Redpath Museum’s Summer Science Documentary films series presents writer/director Chris Paine’s award-winning feature Who Killed the Electric Car?, the 2006 study of the history of the electric car in America as well as the rise and fall of the GM EV-1. Structured as a murder mystery, complete with a list suspects and their motives,  the film paints a picture of an industrial culture whose aversion to change and reliance on oil may be deeper then its ability to embrace ready solutions.

The Summer Science Documentary film series was made possible with funding from the PromoScience programme of NSERC.

Who killed the Electric Car?; Sunday August 2, 3-5 p.m.; Redpath Museum Auditorium, 859 Sherbrooke Street West. Admission is free with a contribution to the Museum.
