University signs collective agreements with SEU groups

June 6th was an important day for the three groups represented by the Service Employees’ Union (SEU) which represents 248 employees in trades and services.  Members of both parties signed collective agreements representing SEU Trades downtown, Powerhouse downtown, and Trades and Powerhouse Macdonald campus.

The collective agreements are in effect until May 31st, 2013.  The previous agreements expired on November 30th, 2007  and the parties agreed to a retroative payment to that date.

“We are very happy to have reached an agreement that will provide some stability moving forward,” said Lynne B. Gervais, Associate Vice-Principal (Human Resources).
