On September 21, the last official day of summer, we posted our annual summer photo gallery – with the promise that, because we had received so many submissions, a second gallery was on the way.
Promise kept.
Below, you will find more gorgeous, whimsical and envy-inspiring pictures taken by members of the McGill community. Once again, we thank everyone – students, staff, faculty, alumni and retirees – for their wonderful submissions. We apologize that we were not able to use everyone’s photos as our format only works with pictures of certain dimensions.
Enjoy!

"We drove the Trans Labrador Highway from Montreal to Newfoundland. Our adventures took us to the Red Bay (Labrador) Basque Whaling Station. Established by Basque mariners in the 16th century at the north-eastern tip of Canada on the shore of the Strait of Belle Isle is a UNESO World Heritage archaeological site that provides the earliest, most complete and best preserved testimony of the European whaling tradition.
This photo is of my sons looking for beach treasures."
