Two sessions were scheduled in August with AGSEM invigilators (Association of Graduate Students Employed at McGill – affiliated with the Conédération des syndicats nationaux). The August 30 session, the first session to have been held in the presence of the government-appointed arbitrator, was cancelled at the union’s request. The parties did meet, however, on August 31 to finalize the elements in their proposals still to be negotiated and to agree on a calendar of meetings. The next meeting is scheduled tentatively for September 24.
