Earlier this year, budgetary approval was obtained to replace the Banner HR system. Known as the R2R project (Recruitment to Retirement), this is a major initiative which HR and Academic Personnel is undertaking with IT Services, and which will take place over the next two to three years.
“This new system will simplify and streamline Academic Personnel and HR-related processes and provide a more integrated approach to managing our resources,” explained Lynne B. Gervais, AVP HR at the HR Administrators Forum held in May.
The project team is being assembled and the first phase of the project, the detailed preparation for the call for tender, is already under way. Cross-sections of staff from across the University who are involved in HR activities and processes will be consulted in the coming months. More information will be communicated as this project progresses.
