Negotiations have been under way between the University and AMURE/PSAC (Association of McGill Research Employees / Public Service Alliance of Canada) since earlier this year, when both parties presented their full set of proposals. Negotiations are moving along at a steady pace. This will be the first collective agreement for research assistants who were certified in December 2010 and for research associates, certified in July 2010.

AGSEM/CSN course lecturers (Association of Graduate Students Employed at McGill/Confédération des syndicats nationaux) have held preliminary discussions with the University and negotiations are set to start soon.  This will be the union’s first collective agreement.

SEU (Service Employees’ Union) and the University are preparing negotiations, which should start this fall. The three units involved in bargaining talks include Printing Services, Computing Centre and Facilities Management/Residences/Faculty Club.  The collective agreements of these three units will expire in November 2012.
