Talks resumed with AMURE/PSAC (McGill University Research Employees/Public Service Alliance of Canada) on August 29 with the return of both negotiating teams.  Items discussed included posting, appointments and reappointments and probationary period. The parties ratified articles dealing with health and safety, reimbursement of expenses, hours of work and overtime.  The parties also discussed layoffs, end of contracts and recalls of research associates and assistants, reaching a tentative agreement with the final draft to be presented for review at the next meeting, scheduled for September 12.
