The McGill Office of Religious and Spiritual Life is collecting warm jackets for the Winter Coat Project. Beginning Oct. 21 through Dec. 5, international students can pick up a free, lightly used winter coat generously donated by members of the McGill Community and various Montreal faith groups. Donations of cleaned, gently used coats can be dropped off via the basement entrance of the Newman Catholic Centre (3484 Peel) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Please mark bags clearly as “Winter Coat Project” and deposit them in the Newman lobby (enter by the lower door). Please ensure coats are clean and in excellent condition.

If you are an international student in need of a warm winter coat, the pick-up point will be located in the Presbyterian College basement (corner of Milton and University) beginning Oct. 21. Pick-up hours are: Mondays from 2:15 p.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesdays from 2:15 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Fridays from noon to 4 p.m. It is important to respect the listed drop-off times at Newman, as well as the listed pick-up times at Pres College. Let’s work together to continue helping International Students stay warm through Montreal’s cold winters.
