Urgent – Boil-water advisory lifted (update 6 at 10:30 p.m. 23/05/13)

The City of Montreal has lifted its boil-water advisory, saying tests show water flowing from the Atwater filtration plant is clear and potable. It is now safe to use drinking fountains and tap water on the downtown campus, following a problem at the filtration plant in which the level of the reservoir feeding the plant was allowed to dip below normal levels during routine maintenance at the plant. Enjoy your coffee in the morning.
