Summer snaps: 2024 vacation gallery

From the Great Lakes to the Great Wall of China, McGill's students, staff and faculty covered a lot of ground this summer.

October is upon us and as summer disappears in our rearview mirror, we take one last look at the best of those sunny days. The Reporter’s annual summer vacation photo gallery features gorgeous photos submitted by McGill students, faculty and staff.

McGillians covered a lot of ground this summer. En route to exploring six continents (Antarctica being the only one we didn’t visit), we travelled by plane, boat, bus, bike, train, car and even paraglider. We flew, sailed, paddled, climbed and hiked through cityscapes, rural country sides and vast wildernesses.

Along the way, we explored grottos in Portugal, watched baseball in Pittsburgh, cruised past glaciers in Alaska and observed lions, caribou and elephants in their natural habitats. From the Great Lakes to the Great Wall of China, our collective summer was nothing short of great.

Thanks to everyone who participated.
