Mercury-Free Microscopy is a new initiative spearheaded by the Advanced BioImaging Facility (ABIF), the Cell Imaging and Analysis Network (CIAN) and the Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI) Microscopy Core with the goal of raising public awareness, promoting recycling, and helping eliminate mercury-based light sources for microscopy. Information session participants will learn about alternatives to traditional mercury-based lamps and view some state-of-the-art mercury-free technologies. Everyone is welcome.
