Schulich School of Music to be well represented at Grammy Awards

A pair of McGill Music professors, Richard King and Steven Epstein, were recently named as Grammy Award nominees.

Recording engineer and professor Richard King of Schulich School of Music has been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical for his work on The Goat Rodeo Sessions. Steven Epstein, an adjunct prof, has received a nomination for Best Musical Theatre Album as part of the team that put together Once: A New Musical. Former associate professor at the Schulich School, Julian Wachner, has been nominated for Best Choral Performance for Handel: Israel In Egypt. The awards ceremony will take place on Feb. 10, at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles and will be televised live.
