Reminder: New Library loans policies; many late fees eliminated

The McGill Library is pleased to announce improvements to its basic services. As of June 4, students, faculty and staff loan periods have changed. The undergraduate loans period has been extended from two weeks to six weeks, graduate students loans periods has been extended from six weeks to four months and faculty/staff loan periods has increased from one term to a year.

The McGill Library is pleased to announce improvements to its basic services. As of June 4, students, faculty and staff loan periods have changed. The undergraduate loans period has been extended from two weeks to six weeks, graduate students loans periods has been extended from six weeks to four months and faculty/staff loan periods has increased from one term to a year (due on May 11). As well as the changes to the loans period, the Library has eliminated late fees for regular books, journals and scores for all McGill students and no late fees on regular books, audio/visual materials, maps and journals for faculty and staff.

These loan period improvements and fine elimination for regular materials will increase the accessibility of the library’s rich collection in support of teaching and research. Learn more about borrowing from the McGill Library.
