MOOC-Social-Learning-Social-Impact[1].webThe Desautels Faculty of Management’s first ever Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) entitled Social Learning for Social Impact is now open for registration. This 11-week course begins on Sept. 16, and aims to inspire the creation of social businesses and initiatives that will help make our world a better place.

Taught by Desautels’ Henry Mintzberg, Leslie Breitner, Anita Nowak and Carlos Rueda, this unique GROOC (a MOOC for groups) is part of a university-wide effort led by Teaching and Learning Services to develop McGill’s MOOCs through the edX consortium. This is the first McGill MOOC designed from scratch. It will focus on learning in groups, either with a participant’s own team or with a team formed with like-minded people from around the world. Participants will also be exposed to dozens of scholars and practitioners in the field of social change. Find out more. Watch the video. For questions, please contact groocx.tls@mcgill.ca.
