Facilitating global internships in over 107 countries, AIESEC is the world’s largest nonprofit, student-run organization. AIESEC McGill, the oldest and most successful chapter in Canada with some 44 current McGill students currently in an internship or just completing one, is looking for 25 new volunteer members to join its organization.
Much like a headhunting operation, AIESEC McGill’s incoming exchange wing matches the respective skill sets of the 10,000 people in its global databank with the needs of its local businesses partners. On the outgoing exchange side of things, AIESEC McGill helps identify students interested in going abroad as part of management, educational, developmental or technical internships. “Our motto is ‘an international platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential,’” said David Palkovitz, AIESEC McGill’s VP Corporate Relations. “And it really does give you the chance to hone those skills.”
AIESEC’s recruitment sessions will be held on Sept. 6 (for engineers only) in the SSMU break-out room (University Centre), Sept. 7 in the SSMU break-out room, Sept. 8 in Bronfman 422 and Sept. 14 in Leacock 232. All sessions are at 6 pm.
