Preliminary McTavish work delayed

Due to technical problems, the City of Montreal’s work on McTavish Street scheduled for this week has been postponed until May 1. A reminder to all that the major City project to replace aging water and sewer lines on McTavish, between Sherbrooke St. and Dr. Penfield Ave. will begin on May 1 and is expected to last three months.
During the major construction project on McTavish Street, including next week’s preliminary work, pedestrian access to the street itself will be severely constrained, but the western sidewalk, in front of the Bookstore, the Faculty Club, the Student Centre and so forth, will remain open. / Photo: Neale McDevitt
