McGill will host the 10th Anniversary Symposium of the Alan Edwards Centre for Research on Pain (AECRP) on Oct. 3. World leader in pain genetics, Dr. Luda Diatchenko, who recently joined McGill as Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) in Human Pain Genetics (see full story in the McGill Reporter), will deliver the keynote address. The symposium will highlight McGill’s longstanding and forward-reaching commitment to promote world-class research into the understanding of the mechanisms underlying pain and the potential avenues for its treatment.
