Oct. 28: A Teaching Experience in Cuban Universities

The McGill Institute for the Study of Canada (MISC), as part of its Canada in the Americas Initiative, presents a talk by Professor de Jésus Manuel Velázquez León from the University of Pedagogical Sciences, José de la Luz y Caballero. His talk will describe and summarize the fruits of these experiences as well as honouring some of the Canadian scholars and writers who have contributed to the successful development of this teaching endeavour

The McGill Institute for the Study of Canada (MISC), as part of its Canada in the Americas Initiative, presents a talk by Professor de Jésus Manuel Velázquez León from the Faculty of Humanities, Department of Foreign Languages, University of Pedagogical Sciences, José de la Luz y Caballero. For more than 30 years, Professor León has been teaching studies of English-speaking cultures, including courses on the history and literature of Canada. His talk will describe and summarize the fruits of these experiences as well as honouring some of the Canadian scholars and writers who have contributed to the successful development of this teaching endeavour.
