Nov 7: 35th annual Osler Lectureship

This year’s Osler Lecture, hosted by the Department of Social Studies of Medicine, will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 7, The lecture, “Medical Professionalism: The Past Record and Future Prospects,” will be delivered by historian David J. Rothman.

This year’s Osler Lecture, hosted by the Department of Social Studies of Medicine, will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 6 p.m. at the Palmer Howard Amphitheatre, McIntyre Medical Science Building, 5th Floor, Room 522 . The invited guest speaker is Dr. David J. Rothman, Bernard Schoenberg Professor of Social Medicine, Professor of History, Director of the Center for the Study of Society and Medicine and Director of the Center on Medicine as a profession at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. An historian by training, he has written extensively about variety of issues in the social history of medicine.
