Move over, Supertramp

Dean of the Desautels Faculty of Management Peter Todd and Michael Di Grappa, Vice-Principal (Administration and Finance), co-chairs of this year's Centraide campaign, teamed up with TonalEcstacy, a McGill a capella singing group, for the clip, produced by Jacquie Rourke. To the strains of Supertramp's mega hit, Give a Little Bit, the players are shown soliciting for the campaign (successfully, too!) and reminding people that, working together, we can all do a lot to help hundreds of thousands of people in the Greater Montreal area who need support.

The goal is $450,000. Every Toonie counts! The campaign comes to an end Dec. 3.

Great song, “Give a Little Bit.” It is actually a Roger Hodgson song, not a Supertramp song. Roger wrote it when he was in his teens and before he even met Rick and co-founded Supertramp. I had the great privilege of seeing Roger in concert a few weeks ago. Accually Lucy its a Supertramp song Roger wrote it. This dumb campaign of telling the world that Roger wrote this song and that song is not working. No one cares, Supertramp was great because they had 2 greats not just because of Rogers songs. I’ve seen Roger at least 30 times since the ’70’s, met him and yes he’s great but no wants to hear all the drama.
I just seen Roger recently and it was great but I always left his concerts and Ricks concerts feeling that somethings missing.

All she said was that Roger Hodgson wrote Give a Little Bit before he even met Rick and co-founded the band, which is a fact. You must be a really big fan of Roger’s if you have seen him over 30 times since the 70’s. I guess you travel to a lot of shows. I’ve seen him three times and enjoyed each concert immensely. I can’t wait to… Read more »
