Mintzberg among world’s top business thinkers

Henry Mintzberg, the Cleghorn Professor of Management Studies at the Desautels Faculty of Management, is one of four Canadians listed among the world’s Top 50 business thinkers, according to biennial rankings sponsored by the Harvard Business Review. Mintzberg, who ranked No. 30, is the author or co-author of 15 books, including the influential Rise and Fall of Strategic Planning.

To make the list, business thinkers are evaluated on 10 established criteria – originality of ideas; practicality of ideas; presentation style; written communication; loyalty of followers; business sense; international outlook; rigour of research; impact of ideas and the elusive guru factor.
