Eager to grow a garden but intimidated by the thought of growing vegetables from seed? This hands-on workshop organized by the Greening Indoor McGill Initiative (GIMI) is designed for beginners. McGill Plant Science PhD student Christie Lovat will teach you the ins-and-outs of starting vegetables from seeds, in order to get garden-centre quality plants by May. Participants will leave with helpful veggie-knowledge, advice and a six-pack tray of biodegradable pots, soil and organic seed packets of tomato, cucumber, beans and carrots. The cost is $20 and space is limited. Click here for more information.
