March 27: Academic Advisers Network Winter 2014 General Assembly

All interested staff and faculty are invited to attend the upcoming AAN Winter 2014 General Assembly. The guest speaker for this event will be Ollivier Dyens, Deputy Provost, Student Life and Learning. He will be speaking on the topic of “Good advising is conducive to good mental health.”

All interested staff and faculty are invited to attend the upcoming AAN Winter 2014 General Assembly. The guest speaker for this event will be Ollivier Dyens, Deputy Provost, Student Life and Learning. He will be speaking on the topic of “Good advising is conducive to good mental health.”

Many post-secondary institutions across North America are faced with mental health issues. How can we address the rise in mental health while controlling both costs and rising stress on frontline staff? By tackling the issue at one of its points of origin – when students are about to enter key transitional phases in their educational path.

The event will take place on Thursday, March 27, at noon – 1:30 p.m. in the Stewart Biology Building, Room N2/2. More information can be found here.
