March 14: Conference on wrongful conviction

On March 14, Innocence McGill presents its annual conference featuring Mr. Michel Dumont and Ms Danielle Dansereau. Dumont was wrongfully convicted of a sexual assault in 1991. He spent three years behind bars, and was exonerated of the crime he did not commit in 2001. Dansereau is the screenwriter of L'Affaire Dumont, a movie that chronicles Dumont’s plight.

Their discussion of Dumont’s wrongful conviction will be moderated by Justice Carol Cohen of the Quebec Superior Court.

The event will take place at the McGill Faculty of Law on Friday, March 14, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
