McGill University wishes to express its deepest condolences to the relatives and friends of the passengers of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, who included McGill graduate Muktesh Mukherjee, 42, and his wife Xiaomo Bai, 37.
Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak announced yesterday that according to data analysis, the plane crashed into the Southern Indian Ocean, killing all 239 passengers. The plane, which was heading from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, disappeared on March 8.
Muktesh Mukherjee lived in Beijing with his family. At McGill, he majored in international business and finance, graduating with an MBA in 1998.
McGill’s flag will be lowered today, March 25, in memory of the victims of flight MH370.
