Michael Woloschuk of the Faculty of Science Development Office recently won silver in the annual Communications Awards given by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District 1. Woloschuk won in the Annual Reports category for his work on the Life Sciences Complex Commemorative Booklet.
In the Publications Packages category, Diana Grier Ayton and Brett Hooton from Development and Alumni Relations earned a bronze for the McGill Parents Program 2008.
CASE is the professional organization for the advancement of professionals who work in alumni relations, communications, fundraising, marketing and similar areas. Its membership includes nearly 3,400 colleges, universities, independent elementary and secondary schools, and educational associates in 60 countries around the world.
On the winning track
Desautels Professors Genevieve Bassellier and Alain Pinsonneault along with Olivier Caya, a PhD student, received an award for the Best Track Paper at the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS).
The team received the award for their paper, “Virtual Team Common Knowledge: Construct Specification and Effect on Knowledge Integration Effectiveness,” published at the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) held from Dec. 14-17, 2008 in Paris, France.
