Make the world a warmer place: Give to the Medical student sock drive for the homeless

Being able to wear a warm pair of socks is an important need that we often take for granted, but is especially important for the homeless population for whom foot-related problems are among the greatest causes of emergency room visits. To help address this problem, Health and Hygiene for the Homeless, an initiative led by McGill Medical Students, will be collecting pairs of lightly-used or new socks that will be delivered to area shelters.

To help address this problem, Health and Hygiene for the Homeless, an initiative led by McGill Medical Students, will be collecting pairs of lightly-used or new socks that will be delivered to area shelters. Two collection boxes are available until Dec. 12, one in room M1 of the Strathcona building and one in the Martin Amphitheatre in the McIntyre building. Help the students reach their goal of collecting 300 pairs of socks for the homeless before the holidays.
