The Staff-Student Mentoring Program is looking for McGill faculty and administrative and support staff to mentor undergraduate students.

What’s in it for students? Mentors can help students adjust to McGill and/or Montreal, navigate the University, and connect to McGill’s resources and services. Mentors and mentees can also discuss or participate in common hobbies and interests, share life experiences, or discuss career options. What’s in it for YOU? The opportunity to connect with students outside of your usual scope of work, the satisfaction of helping a student adjust to McGill/Montreal, and the pleasure of sharing knowledge and exchanging insights with a McGill student. More than 120 students were paired with a mentor in the 2012-2013 academic year. Join us and add to the sense of community at McGill!

Program organizers will be happy to answer your questions or guide you through the process of registering. They will also be providing an orientation session for mentors on Friday, Aug. 23. Interested? Want to learn more? Email undergrad.mentoring@mcgill.ca or contact Rosalia at 514-398-2538 or Margaret at 514-398-1731.
