From Jan. 29 to Feb. 1, the Schulich school of Music presents one of the best-known and most-loved operatic classics: Le Nozze di Figaro. Come hear this wonderful work sung in Italian and discover the musical talent of the future.

The singers, prepared by Patrick Hansen, Director of Opera McGill will be accompanied by the McGill Symphony Orchestra, led this time by Guest Conductor Gordon Gerrard, Associate Conductor of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.

The comings and goings between Susanna, Figaro, the Count Almaviva and the Countess have been staged by guest director Nicola Bowie, a well-known British director and choreographer. Like all of the operas presented by Opera McGill this year, the setting will be during the First World War.

One hour before each show, there is a free pre-concert talk, given (in English) by Guest Conductor Gordon Gerrard.
