Hockey Martlets begin championship quest

The No. 1-ranked McGill hockey Martlets, winners of 101 consecutive games over Quebec University Hockey League opponents, will begin their quest for a national title when they play host to fourth-place Carleton in the first-game of a best-of-three semifinal series on Wed., Feb. 23.

The McGill hockey Martlets, winners of 101 consecutive games over Quebec University Hockey League opponents, will begin their quest for a national title when they play host to fourth-place Carleton in the first-game of a best-of-three semifinal series on Wed., Feb. 23.

The No. 1-ranked Martlets wrapped up their regular season with a 5-2 win over Concordia at McConnell Arena last Saturday. Team captain Cathy Chartrand scored once and set up two others for the McGill, which finished atop the QUHL standings with an unblemished 20-0 record.
