The Faculty of Law invites the public to a symposium entitled “The Unbounded Level of the Mind: Rod Macdonald’s Legal Imagination,” held in honour of Professor Roderick A. Macdonald, OC, F.R. Scott Chair of Constitutional and Public Law.

Taking place on Feb. 7-8 at McGill’s Faculty of Law, the event will allow people to delve into Macdonald’s rich scholarship and its implications for future research.

The Symposium is organized around six themes: Kaleidoscopic Federalism, Producing Fairness, Pluralizing the Subject, The Priority of Distributive Justice, Contextualizing Governance, and Pursuing Virtue. Among invited speakers are Kirsten Anker, Harry Arthurs, Nathalie Des Rosiers, Sally Engle Merry, H. Patrick Glenn, Alison Harvison Young, Nicholas Kasirer, Yves-Marie Morissette, Stephen Toope, Shauna Van Praagh, Jeremy Webber, and John Whyte.
