McGill shows its commitment to creating and maintaining a safe and inclusive campus through the Forum on Consent held on Feb. 26 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. in the University Centre Ballroom (3480 McTavish Street).

The goal of the forum, co-chaired by Professor Carrie Rentschler (William Dawson Scholar of Feminist Media Studies and Director of the Institute for Gender, Sexuality and Feminist Studies) and Joey Shea (Student Society of McGill University VP University Affairs), is to engage the entire McGill community and Montreal neighbours in a discussion on the nature of consent and its role in the creation and maintenance of a safe, inclusive and respectful campus environment.

This event will feature a moderated open panel discussion, breakout discussions and a closing plenary. It is hoped that this Forum will be the beginning of an ongoing process on campus which will include policy review and further discussions within Faculties and student organizations.
