The McGill Space Institute and AstroMcGill present the 30th Public Astro Night, with a public lecture by Dr. Howard Trottier from Simon Fraser University. In 2014, Trottier received the Qilak Award for Astronomy Communications, Public Education and Outreach, from the Canadian Astronomical Society. His public lecture is entitled: “The Passion and Science of Amateur Astronomy: A Scientist’s Diary.” The lecture will be followed by night sky observations (weather permitting). This event is intended for a general audience and is free of charge. No reservation is necessary.
