Feb. 19: Help support Dentistry’s Community Outreach Program

McGill’s Faculty of Dentistry invites you to its 2014 annual Chinese New Year dinner. Held on Feb. 19, at 6 p.m., at Le Crystal Chinois, the dinner will help raise funds for the Community Outreach Program. The Outreach Program, which serves as a model for a number of other dental schools nation-wide, uses mobile dental equipment to go directly into community centres and provide free, high quality dental care to families in poverty, the elderly, recent immigrants, refugees and people with disabilities.

The Faculty’s Community Outreach Program, which serves as a model for a number of other dental schools nation-wide, uses mobile dental equipment to go directly into community centres and provide free, high quality dental care to families in poverty, the elderly, recent immigrants, refugees and people with disabilities. It relies entirely on private support from alumni and friends to purchase much-needed supplies and equipment, while all personnel involved work for free.

The annual fundraiser, a staple event in McGill’s Faculty of Dentistry, celebrates its 11th edition this year. Join in for a great evening featuring a multi-course dinner, raffle, dancing and much more.
