On Sunday, Feb. 16, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, the Morgan Arboretum Ski Patrol will be hosting a workshop on the basics of cross-country ski waxing featuring Wayne Hesse from Nordic Ski Service. New waxing techniques have helped skiers obtain faster gliding, better grip and longer wax life, but they can also get a little intimidating for many of us. Hot waxing, gliders, grip waxes, klisters, race waxes; it’s all getting more complicated and if you don’t do it right, you may end up being frustrated on the trails. Applying the proper wax makes all the difference, as many of us have learned.
Free for members, regular admission fees for non-members.
Please reserve at 514-398-7811.
Meet at the Conservation Centre.
