Arctic regions are experiencing high degrees of environmental change, including thinning of sea ice, increased deposition of airborne pollutants and evidence of a longer growing season. On Jan. 13, join Marianne Douglas, Director of the Canadian Circumpolar Institute and Professor of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Alberta as she presents a Cutting Edge Lecture in Science on some of her findings into the changes that are happening in the Arctic – findings that my provide clues into what future arctic conditions may prevail.
