Converting to a bi-weekly pay frequency

The University is converting to a bi-weekly pay frequency cycle for most McGill employees, effective January 1, 2014. The University currently administers weekly, bi-weekly and semi-monthly pay cycles, with different pay periods and pay dates for different employee groups. The conversion to a bi-weekly pay frequency cycle is a step in streamlining the University’s administrative processes.

The conversion to a bi-weekly pay frequency cycle is a step in streamlining the University’s administrative processes. Surveys conducted by the Canadian Payroll Association show that 62 per cent of organizations process their payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
