Shorter days and cool nights have started to transform the landscape as fiery colours are showing through the green foliage. Out in the open and on the forest edges, the sun is baking the leaves, causing some of them to blush in intense hues – at this point, the reds are out but this is only the beginning. In the forest interior, the progression is slower, and it will take another couple of weeks for the yellows and oranges to fully come through. Ultimately, it creates an incredible top to bottom glowing effect that coats every object in gold, revealing the forest in its full glory. Check out the events taking place at the Arboretum this fall and make time to visit the forest.
Autumn at the Arboretum
A wonderful family destination all year round, the Morgan Arboretum is at its most beautiful during the fall when the leaves start to change colour.
