Come to a screening and discussion of the documentary Being mortal: Medicine and what matters in the end, which follows surgeon and bestselling author Atul Gawande.

Surgeon and bestselling author Atul Gawande was recently the subject of a Frontline documentary that looked at how medicine can not only improve life but also the process of its ending. The documentary will be screened on Monday April 20, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Temple Emanu-El-Beth-Sholom (4100 Sherbrooke Street West), entrance at 395 Elm Ave. A discussion with Sue Britton, registered nurse, and Zelda Freitas, social worker, will follow.
