AMURE members ratify agreements

Members of the Association of McGill University Research Employees (AMURE) voted in overwhelming majority to ratify the tentative agreements relating to research associates and research assistants. Voting sessions were held on both the downtown and Macdonald campuses. Members of the Association of McGill University Research Employees (AMURE) voted in overwhelming majority to ratify the tentative agreements relating to research associates and research assistants. Voting sessions were held on both the downtown and Macdonald campuses.

Both negotiation parties are satisfied with the outcome of this first collective agreement and the process of joint communications conducted throughout the talks.

The next steps will consist in having both parties review the wording of the agreements in English and French, and sign off on a final version of both. It is hoped that the signing of the collective agreements will occur before the end of April. Only once signed by both parties will the collective agreements come into effect.
