McGill’s fourth annual Trivia Challenge in support of the University’s Centraide campaign got off to a roaring success Tuesday night, as more than 100 people filled the ballroom of the Faculty Club to match wits with Quizmaster David Harpp. More than $500 was raised for the Centraide campaign and the first round of the multi-round contest was a closely fought affair, with reigning champions, The Ministry of Truth, winning the first round by a narrow margin. Tuesday night’s affair should serve as a signal to those who want to participate in future matches: register early. A couple of teams who tried to register late had to be turned away for lack of space. The next round is Thursday, Nov. 21. More details can be found at the Trivia Challenge link above.
